The chair was fine when you bought it. That was four years and two staff members ago.
Almost every office chair sold in New Zealand says ergonomic on the box. Very few of them adjust in the ways that actually decide whether someone is comfortable at 4pm.
Here's what we mean:
A backrest that moves to fit the person. The lumbar support ratchets through five positions, so it sits where your spine actually curves. One chair fits five foot seven and six foot two.
Armrests that follow your wrist to the mouse. Most armrests go up and down and stop there. Ours move in five directions, including in toward the keyboard, so your forearm is supported when you reach forward.
A seat that slides to your leg length. Seat depth adjustment takes the pressure off the back of your knees, which is what causes the fidgeting by mid afternoon.
Built for eight hours a day, for ten years. Weight ratings of 120kg to 140kg, mesh backs that breathe, and five or ten year warranties. A chair you replace every three years is not the cheap one.

We import our own chairs. That is the whole reason we can price them like this.
We buy our chairs direct from the factory and hold the container here in Hamilton. No importer in the middle, so we price at wholesale rather than retail.
Desks, storage, reception and boardroom come from New Zealand manufacturers, because they build it better than we could import it. We will always tell you which is which.

The questions we get asked before people book
Is the consult actually free, or is it free until you turn up?
It is free. There is no charge for the visit, the space plan or the quote, and there is no minimum order to qualify. Mike would rather spend half an hour with ten businesses and win three of them than charge the ten.
What if the chair is wrong once it is in the office?
On orders of ten or more we bring samples to your office first, so nobody commits blind. Every chair carries a five or ten year warranty depending on the model, honoured locally.
We are not in Hamilton. Is it still worth booking?
Yes. We consult in person across Hamilton, Tauranga, Auckland and the wider Waikato, and we deliver nationwide. Outside the region we run the same consult online, walking through your space on a video call.
How long does delivery take?
The current chair range is in stock in Hamilton, so most orders go out quickly rather than being ordered in from offshore. Exact timing depends on the size of the order and we confirm it in the quote.
Do you only do chairs?
No. Chairs are what we import directly and what we are best known for, but Ergo Vibes supplies desks, height adjustable desking, reception, meeting and boardroom furniture, storage and screens. When you are moving offices you do not just need chairs, and the consult covers all of it.

Direct import pricing means there is genuine margin in it for you, stock is held locally in Hamilton, and Mike will handle the client conversation and the space planning directly so it is not another line item on your plate.
