How to choose an office chair that fits
Every chair says ergonomic on the box. What actually matters is which features it has, and whether they suit the person sitting in it. Here is what to look at.
Armrests: These range from fixed, through height-adjustable, to 3D and 5D. The more directions they move, the better they support your forearm when you reach for the mouse. The specs above tell you which this chair has.
Back and lumbar: A mid back suits shorter sessions and meeting rooms. A high back with adjustable lumbar suits someone at the desk all day. If your team is a mix of heights, adjustable is what keeps one chair working for everyone.
Mechanism: A basic swivel and tilt is fine for occasional use. A synchro or wire-control mechanism, with multiple lock positions, is what you want for eight hours a day.
Warranty and weight rating: A higher rating and a longer warranty are the signs of a chair built for daily commercial use rather than occasional home use.
